- My work laptop froze during a client call, so I said 'sounds like we're experiencing some real synergy here' to buy time while it rebooted. Nobody questioned it. I've since used 'synergy' to explain every technical failure in my life, including my car.
- Our office installed a 'quiet room' for focused work. Within a week it became the unofficial nap room, complete with a rotating schedule nobody wrote down but everyone somehow respects.
- I volunteered to run the office trivia night, thinking it'd be a fun way to bond with the team. Three rounds in, two coworkers weren't speaking to each other over a sports question. I've since retired from event planning.
