More Family Stories
- I tried to fix the leaky faucet myself to save on a plumber. Two hours, one flooded bathroom, and a very expensive plumber visit later, I've learned my lesson about YouTube tutorials.
- My son wanted to learn chess, so I taught him everything I know. Three weeks later he beat me for the first time. I told him I let him win. We both know that isn't true.
- I finally cleaned out the garage after years of putting it off. Found two bikes we forgot we owned, a box of cables for devices that no longer exist, and my sense of accomplishment lasted exactly until the next weekend, when it all crept back in.
- My daughter asked to help make dinner, so I handed her the salad. She added exactly one cucumber slice, declared it 'done,' and walked away extremely proud of herself. I ate the salad anyway. It was, generously, one cucumber slice.
